Privacy policy

This site is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no logins, no comments and no newsletter, so there is very little to collect — and we do not.

Who is responsible

https://theswisstravelpass.com is published by The Swiss Travel Pass - US, an independent publisher, not the issuer of the pass of the same name. For data protection purposes that publisher is the controller for any personal data this site processes. Reach us at info@theswisstravelpass.com.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. We run no analytics, set no cookies of our own, and operate no tracking pixels. There is no form anywhere on this site that asks for your details, and no mailing list to join.

Our hosting provider processes standard server request data — IP address, timestamp, requested page, user agent — in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. This is ordinary web server logging, not something we query or use to build a profile of you.

Third parties your browser contacts

Loading a page here causes your browser to make requests to three other companies, and no others. Each receives your IP address and can set its own cookies under its own policy, which we do not control.

Google Fonts

Serves the typeface used across the site, from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Loaded on every page.

GetYourGuide

Provides the booking widget and receives affiliate referrals from our links. The widget is on most pages of this site, not only the buy page, and it loads a script from widget.getyourguide.com wherever it appears.

Cloudflare

Serves the pages and images, and keeps the request logs described above.

If you follow a link to GetYourGuide, you leave this site and their privacy policy applies from that point. We pass them no information about you beyond the fact that you arrived via our link. Theirs is the only outward link on the site.

Affiliate tracking

When you click through to the seller, they typically set a cookie recording that the referral came from us, so a resulting purchase can be attributed. That cookie is set by the seller on their own domain, under their own policy — not by us. See our affiliate disclosure for what the arrangement is.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. We hold no such data, so in practice there is nothing for us to return or delete. If you believe otherwise, write to info@theswisstravelpass.com and we will look into it.

To limit what the three companies above receive, block third-party cookies or use a content blocker. The site is readable without them; only the booking widgets depend on a script loading.

If you are in the UK, the EU or the EEA and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site is aimed at adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If what the site does changes — if we add analytics, for instance — this page changes first, and the date at the top of it moves.
